Queso Blanca Recipe
1 lb of white American cheese
1 10oz can of Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilis
1 cup milk
Chopped green onions chopped
Fresh or jarred Banana peppers, chopped
In a sauce pan add the milk and Rotel tomatoes and bring to a near boil.
In a glass bowl, melt the cheese slowly until creamy in consistency on low heat in a microwave.
Add the milk, Rotel and melted cheese together and heat over medium heat combining all the ingredients until fully incorporated.
Queso is now ready to serve with your favorite chips or other foods.
Homemade Tortilla Chips
8 inch corn or flour tortilla
Brush both sides with olive oil
Season with a mixture of garlic, herbs and mild Cajun seasoning
Cut into triangles and bake for approx. 5 -7 minutes at 350 degrees or until the edges start to get crispy.
Remove from the oven and enjoy fresh, hot and homemade tortilla chips with your Queso.
