Served at the 2025 Farmers’ Table Wine Trail, G. Husmann Wine Company

Ingredients:

1 pound Monterey Jack cheese, grated
2 ounces whole green chilies, torn in strips
3 eggs, beaten
1 ½ cups half and half
Scant half cup flour
1 can (8 ounce) tomato or enchilada sauce

Directions:
Place grated cheese in bottom of greased 1 ½ quart baking dish or souffle dish. Cover with strips of green chilies. In mixing bowl combine eggs, half and half, and flour. Pour egg mixture over layer of chilies and cheese. Top with tomato or enchilada sauce. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to an hour. Serves 4
