Served at the 2014 Holiday Fare Wine Trail

3 cups self rising flour
3 tablespoons sugar
12 ounces beer
1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
¼ cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix flour, sugar and beer together till well combined. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes. Pour melted butter over top of loaf, then bake an additional 10 minutes.

Remove from oven, let cool enough to remove from loaf pan before serving.
