Served at the 2025 Holiday Fare Wine Trail, Adam Puchta Winery
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup butter
1 Tbsp white sugar
2 large eggs
zest of 2 oranges
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 tsp vanilla, or to taste
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
- Grease a 9-inch cake pan. Line with archment paper for easier serving and cleanup.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter ad sugar unti light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing just until combined.
- Stir in the orange zest, juice, and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly incorporate this into your wet mixture.
- Gently fold in the cranberries.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle sugar on the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
