Chocolate Wine Trail

February is the month for love!   Flowers are nice, chocolate is good but wine and chocolate, now that is a romantic combination!

The Hermann Wine Trail hosts the Chocolate Wine Trail February 21 & 22, and we have sold this event out since its beginning back in 2004!  Yes, 1200 people come to Hermann on a February weekend to sip wine and sample chocolate dishes created by the wineries to showcase their culinary talents.  A perfect Valentine’s Day idea or a great girl’s getaway!  We will probably sell out of tickets this weekend, but as of today, there are 50 tickets left!  It’s best to call 800-932-8687 to order tickets!  See Menu here

If you miss out on the Chocolate Wine Trail tickets, there are several other romantic events at our wineries in February:

Adam Puchta Winery

  • February 13 – Cocktails & Kisses; a special Valentine’s Day Bubble Hour featuring our award-winning Sparkling Brut wine. Guests will be among the first to sample our new wine cocktails coupled with an array of gourmet appetizers and chocolate temptations. An evening suited to the likes of Mark Antony & Cleopatra. Cocktails & Kisses is open to the public as a ticketed event, $30/person and is limited to 30 people. Call Aimee at 573-486-5596 to reserve your tickets.

Stone Hill Winery

  • February 14 – He Said Food, She Said WineA discussion on Food & Wine pairing. This course, led by our winemaking staff, lays the foundation for understanding how food and wine do (and sometimes not) work together. There will be sampling. There will be tasting. Reservations required; limited space. Tickets available online at stonehillwinery.com.  Check in is at 10:30 am.

All of the Hermann Wine Trail wineries have inside seating for you and your loved one to share a bottle of wine while enjoying the winery ambiance.  This time of year, the crowds are smaller, so tasting room staff can spend more time sharing their wine knowledge with visitors.

Hermann wine country has many dining choices, from German fare to BBQ and homemade pie!    If you enjoy craft beers, there are two breweries (one at Bias Winery).  If you enjoy history, we have two historical museums, Deutschheim State Historic Site and the Historic Hermann Museum.

See you on the trail!
