We get asked this question a lot. Why are we having a Wild Bacon Wine Trail? Our answer is always the same. Why not!
The Hermann Wine Trail has zeroed in on some pretty successful wine and food pairing events, and the Wild Bacon Wine Trail has become as popular as the Chocolate Wine Trail. Chocolate and wine are a natural. And who doesn’t like bacon? So why not pair bacon and wine together.
We don’t just put a piece of bacon on a plate for you to chomp down on. Although, there’s nothing wrong with eating slices of crispy bacon and drinking wine. The wineries actually create dishes featuring bacon as a main ingredient and pair that with one of their wines. So it truely is a wine and food experience.
It’s hard to write about bacon and not salivate. Can you imagine cooking bacon for 1000-1200 people? It’s just an ingredient but still…..

These all sound amazing. Who would not love this event? Oh, and Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8th, so go ahead treat her to a day of bacon and wine!
Tickets are $30 per person and must be purchased in advance. On-line ticket sales will end May 4th at 4 pm so don’t wait! Call the Hermann Welcome Center for information, 800-932-8687 or purchase on-line here.
Tickets purchased after April 29, will not be mailed. They will have to be picked up from the Hermann Welcome Center the day of the event at 312 Market St., Hermann, MO. The Welcome Center gals also give great directions and suggestions for your visit to Hermann.
