The Hermann Wine Trail is getting ready for the Holiday Fare Wine Trail Nov. 19 & 20, an annual celebration of good food and good wine, shared with family and friends. Sample holiday foods paired with wines at seven stops on the Hermann Wine Trail. Tickets are $30 per person and must be purchased in advance. Ticket sales end Wed. Nov. 16 at 4 pm. Adam Puchta Winery  Adam Puchta Winery Doe Camp

  • Friday, Nov. 4 – Doe Camp, 6-10 pm. 6th annual Doe Camp which is a fundraiser for the Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer and the Just Call Me Ray Foundation. Doe Camp is a ladies night out where we feature wine tastings, vendors, massages, raffles and more. The event is open to the public. All funds raised by selling raffle tickets for gift packages. Admission charge of $1 per person

  • Saturday, Nov. 12 – Grapes to Glass, 3-4:30 pm, A special VIP winery tour and tasting, led by a member of Stone Hill’s winemaking staff. Go behind the scenes to visit a Norton vineyard, underground cellars, tank building and press house. Check-in at 2:30. Reservations required; limited space. Hermann Weekend Activities:

  • November 25, Lantern Parade, 6-9 pm. Hermann’s Christmas season officially begins with a Lantern Parade through downtown. In Germany, the traditional Festival of Lanterns celebrates the generosity and compassion of Martin of Tours, a German knight who gave half his coat to a beggar. Christmas carols and refreshments after the parade. All ages welcome.
  • November 26 – The Sounds of Starkenberg. Enjoy the sounds of the season. Concerts at 1:00, 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. feature Barry Bierwirth on the historic Pfeffer organ, the St. Paul UCC handbell choir, vocalists Carrie Tilly and Campbell Hemeyer, cellist Keely Uthlaut and sing-along carols. Soup supper and country store, 2:00 to 6:30 p.m. in Valentine Hall.
