Our Chocolate Wine Trail this past weekend was a huge success! Not only was the weather perfect, sunny and over 70°, but the chocolate creations served at our wineries were amazing!

Here are the chocolate highlights:

  • Adam Puchta Winery
Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Brownie Tart with Fresh Raspberry Coulis, paired with Vignoles- the Raspberry coulis was so tasty you really wanted to lick the plate….perfect match for their bright and flavorful Vignoles. Get Recipe
  • Bias Winery
Chocolate Chip Gooey Butter Cake, paired with Strawberry Weisser Flieder – A creative twist on a traditional Gooey butter cake, that paired nicely with the sweet and tasty strawberry flavored wine. Get Recipe
  • Dierberg Star Lane
Dark Chocolate Flourless Brownie with Pinot Noir Ganache, paired with Pinot Noir – This was truely sinful. Decadent, rich, melt in your mouth chocolate goodness….need we say more.
  • Hermannhof Winery Key Lime Cupcake White Chocolate Frosting Hermannhof Winery
Key Lime Cupcake with White Chocolate Frosting, paired with Vignoles – This is has got to be one of the best matches for Vignoles; Key Lime and White Chocolate. The tartness of the Vignoles and Key Lime flavors are perfectly suited. Yummo!
  • OakGlenn Winery
Triple Chocolate Chili, paired with Red Muscadine wine – The chili was a great, satisfying dish amongst all the sweet chocolate pairings. The chocolate flavor was subtle, but beautifully integrated with the chili. Get Recipe
  • Robller Winery
Dark Chocolate Bacon Turtle, paired with Kasselfest – You can’t go wrong with chocolate, bacon and caramel. A match made in heaven.
  • Stone Hill Winery Chocolate, Nut and Jicama Turnover Stone Hill
Chocolate, Nut and Jicama Turnover, paired with Chambourcin Reduction Creme, paired with Golden Rhine – The sweet nutty jicama flavor was a perfect compliment to the rich pastry and delicious chocolate flavors.
